COMMUNITY EXTENSION SERVICES

Community service is one of the three-fold functions of education. It plays an important role in the betterment of our society. At St. Anne College Lucena, the Community Extension service is very active in the fulfillment of its corporate social responsibility in building a better and active community. The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology or BJMP-Talipan at Pagbilao Quezon serves as the beneficiary of the noteworthy projects of the department. The Institute of International Hospitality Management and Tourism provides an outreach program for them such as seminar-workshop on food safety and sanitary practices, table set-up and basic service lectures, table skirting and flower arrangement, bed making and fruit -vegetable carving, fruit and vegetable preservations and meat processing among others. These projects aim to advance and educate the inmates, and also provide them with little remuneration while they are inside the jail. With all of these, the department will not stop in conducting such noteworthy projects because it is our way of giving back to our community.
