Salutation for the student chefs and hoteliers! St. Anne College Lucena Inc. pays tribute to the winning student chefs and hoteliers as the Overall Philippine Champion in the 12th National Food Showdown 2018 held last November 14, 2018 at SACLI gymnasium.
Office of Student Affairs headed by Prof. Nelson E. Dean organized a day full of prowess and triumph. The event was attended by the Administrators, faculty members, students and parents. The celebration was started with a thanksgiving mass presided by Rev. Fr. Ruel Abuel. After the mass, the program started with words of welcome addressed by the Dean of School of Management for International Hospitality and Tourism, Dr. Rogelio B. Llave. Meanwhile, Ms. Maria Krista Aquino, a BSHRM student gave a Mariah Carey medley song number. Atty. Jade Andaman-Recio, Senior Vice President, delivered her words of inspiration. Afterwards, each student chef and hotelier received a certificate of recognition and a recipient of tuition fee discount for the 2nd semester, S.Y. 2018-2019.
St. Anne Dance Troupe hyped up the audience’s energy as they showcased their swag-packed move. It was followed by giving recognition to the parents of student chefs and hoteliers for choosing St. Anne College in molding their child’s future. Joanaflor Caracas, NFS participant (mocktail category) presented her skills in mocktail making exhibition. The Academic Executive Committee awarded the plaque of Appreciation to Coaches whom patiently trained the students for the said competition. It was followed by words of Gratitude addressed by the selected chefs and hoteliers. Prof. Rosenda P. De Guzman, delivered her closing remarks. A simple dinner at the hub was served after the program.
St. Anne College Lucena, Inc. has been awarded as the Over-all Champion in the recently concluded, 12th National Food Showdown held last October 23- 26 at Elements Hall, Centris, Quezon City.
Ms. Cattleya Nadeline Cordero played as the Master of Ceremony.
