RDO Facilitates SACLIAN's Educator Research Forum 2018
           December 10, 2018

Hail! to the SACLIAN Educator Researchers who bravely presented their action research during the SACLIANS’ Educators Research Forum 2018 as the Research and Development Office (RDO) conducted its 1st Educators’ Forum last December 10, 2018 at HED AVR.

The Forum had its theme: “Transcending Lifelong Learning Through Research”. Mentioning the rationale of the event, as it goes… “In view of the faculty of research in Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has provided policies and mandates that are largely geared towards the improvement of research productivity. The HEIs in the country have responded in varied ways to the call for a stronger research orientation among the universities and colleges. In this context, St. Anne College of Lucena responded to this call by creating a research culture through Faculty Research Forum”.

The astounding event started with an early registration around seven thirty in the morning and majority of the participants were from the HED educators. Definitely, the main objective of the forum is to create a culture by transceding a lifelong learning through research proposal presentation and to affirm the proponents of different research proposal by commitment signing.

Three highly caliber speakers were invited to enlighten the SACLI personnel with regard to the updates about action research and scientific research. The keynote speaker, Dr. Joseph Angelou I. Ng of De La Salle Lipa excellently discussed the importance of research in the school community. First plenary speaker, Dr. Juanito A. Merle of DepEd Quezon made a detailed lecture on how research is being transcend in the DepEd perspective. Moreover, the second plenary speaker, our very own Dr. Rogelio B. Llave, the dean of SMIHT sincerely shared his strategies and exciting experiences on how to create research papers.

Thereafter, half of the afternoon session is a mindboggling activity as the nine (9) groups of researchers from different departments presented their research papers. They were the first batch of SACLIAN educators who conducted action research for the School Year 2018-2019. (M. Regalia)
